The Apollonia Student Hall, owned by the Christian Orthodox Church of Cyprus (Archdiocese), is located in Ekali in Limassol, opposite the Ag. Arsenios church (click here). It has been erected according to student dormitories rools and specifications and can accomodate more than 300 students in studio-style rooms.
Between the Church and the University there is a cooperation agreement that includes the availability of up to 200 rooms for the needs of CUT students. The rooms will be available at a subsidised price based on socio-economic criteria. Any student who receives a room based on socio-economic criteria is considered a fellow of the Church and will therefore pay a reduced rent. Selection is made by Housing Office.
Each fellow student will sign a rental agreement with the building manager, with a duration of 10 months and a monthly rent of €350 (including electricity, water, internet, shared, parking). The price for postgraduate students, without subsidy, is €500 per month.
Each apartment is an independent studio of 20sqm+, with full furnishings, individual sanitary area and fully equipped kitchenette (fridge, eyes, oven). Click here for photos and images. The student hall also includes a limited two-bedroom apartment.
The building has a restaurant, a laundry room at the basement, a gym and other public areas. It offers parking spaces (toll-free). Apollonia student hall is connected to the main buildings of the University with a dense urban bus route (lines 4 and 9).
