Rent and payments

The following charges apply to the student residences at Verengaria. The charges for the two small buildings in the center of Limassol (ROUSSOS and ANEL) remain unchanged.

A) GENERAL LONG-TERM RENTAL CHARGES (10–12 MONTHS)

C) RENT / PAYMENT TERMS

In all cases, the specified rent amount must be paid in advance.

For long-term rentals (3–12 months), an initial payment equivalent to two months’ rent is required: one month for the first month’s rent and one month as a security deposit. The deposit is refunded at the end of the tenancy, provided that the terms of the contract are met.

The rent for the following month must be paid by the last day of the current month. In case of late payment, the contract is terminated immediately.

For short-term rentals (summer or short stay), the full amount for the stay must be paid in advance. No deposit is required unless deemed necessary on a case-by-case basis by the Housing Office.

Cash payments are not accepted. Payments must be made in the manner specified by the Housing Office.

D) NOTES

  1. The rental fees/charges include electricity, water consumption, cleaning of common areas, and internet connection. In case of excessive electricity consumption (note: all apartments/rooms have separate meters), the tenant will be charged for the excess. Excessive consumption is defined as usage exceeding 120 kWh per month per tenant. This does not apply to short stays (less than 30 days).
  2. Parking spaces are available to student residence tenants on a priority basis, if desired, at an annual fee of €200. This amount must be paid in advance.
  3. Long-term rental contracts are 12 months for all tenants (September–August), except for students in their final year of study (4th year or higher), whose contracts will be for 10 months.
  4. Rental contracts for Erasmus mobility students are for a minimum of 4 months. They may be extended under the same terms up to 12 months, including the summer period (subject to availability).
  5. In the event of room vacancies, replacement students will sign contracts corresponding to the remaining duration.
  6. The University reviews the rental rates regularly, every two years.
