Where can I find general information for the graduate programs that are offered at CUT?

All information is posted on the site. General information included in the announcement of positions to apply for (click here) and the post of helpful information (click here). More detailed information for each program are posted in each Department (click here) as well as in the postgraduate guide that is published each academic year (click here).

Can I apply for master degree before I finish my degree?

You can as long as you're in the final stage and have received your diploma before starting your studies in master's program at CUT. The University will evaluate your application and can offer you a position under conditions (e.g. conditional offer to submit the title of degree before the start of the Master's courses).

When and where can I find current notices for positions in graduate programs?

Postgraduate positions are announced twice during the academic year, with a notice posted on the website and published in the press and in social media. Posts in Masters Programs are announced separately by the posts in Doctoral level.

Can I be admitted to doctoral studies if I don't have a master's degree?

In most Departments, the degree and master's degree is a prerequisite for doctoral studies. However, there are some Departments that accept applications without the Master degree.

In this case that you are accepted without the Master degree, it is mandatory to attend and complete postgraduate courses at the University of at least 60 ECTS (which is decided by the Department).

How will I know if a decision has been made regarding my postgraduate studies application and do I need to do next?

Applications, once submitted electronically, are evaluated by the Coordinator of each programs and Graduate programs in every Department. You can be informed about the outcome of your application through the Portal, which you can access with the codes you have received, but also with email or telephone contact with the service of the University. If you are offered a position, then through the Portal you will have accept the position offered, within a specified period. The reservation requires payment of a specified amount (deposit), which is not refundable in the event you ultimately choose not to attend. The final stage will be to register online for courses by the Portal again.

What are the tuition fees for the courses at CUT?

The fees vary between masters and Doctorate level of studies. Also if the student is a citizen of the EU or outside the EU.

Are the postgraduate master's level programs offered only in full time or is there the possibility of part-time? What does part time mean?

In most postgraduate programmes at master's level courses, the student can attend full time or part time. Full time means that the student has to register each semester the required courses needed to complete the program in the least amount of required study time, which is usually 3 semesters.

Part time means that you can enroll in courses each semester, aiming to complete the program’s requirements in more semesters (but not to exceed 8 semesters). Part-time attendance is usually for students that are employed.

What times are the courses during the day for the graduate programs at master's level?

The courses usually are afternoon and evening (starting after 3 or 4 pm) and the schedule is structured in a way that allows the students that work to attend their courses.

What is the duration of studies for the postgraduate programs at the Cyprus University of Technology?

For Masters programmes the minimum duration is 3 semesters. Some programs are completed in 13 months. The maximum duration is in any case all 8 semesters.

To obtain the Doctorate level degree, it requires the least six semesters of study with a maximum duration of study sixteen semesters.

What is the language of instruction?

The language of instruction for most postgraduate programmes at master's level is Greek. However, students should know very well English for purposes of access to and utilization of the relevant literature.

Exclusively in the English language are the programs of the Cyprus International Institute, MSc Interaction Design program of the Department of multimedia and Graphic Arts (in cooperation with Tallinn University), CALL center program Languages, and the Brain and Cognitive Sciences program of the Faculty of health sciences.
