Internal Quality Committee

The University has an Internal Quality Committee, whose composition, responsibilities and mode of operation are recorded in the relevant Rules of Composition and Operation of the Internal Quality Committee which were approved by the Senate during its 65th Session (06/07/2016), and were ratified by the Council during its 61st Session (28/07/2016).

Jurisdiction of the Commission:

(a) The Commission is responsible for implementing the standards set out in Article 12 of Law 136 (I) / 2015 “On the Ensuring and Certification of the Quality of Higher Education and the Establishment and Operation of a Body for Related Issues of the Law of 2015 », For purposes of ensuring internal quality.

(b) The Commission shall coordinate the preparation of the special self-assessment reports in relation to the Foreign Assessments concerning the Cyprus University of Technology, in accordance with the standards applicable to those reports which are determined and issued by the Agency based on their criteria and quality indicators provided for in the provisions of Article 6 and in accordance with the provisions of Law 136 (I) / 2015 ATA 2015 Law ", with regard to external ratings.

(c) The Commission is responsible for compiling the general evaluation reports of the Cyprus University of Technology for submission to the Agency, which relate to the University in its entirety, and includes data on a number of key quality indicators issued by the Agency.

(d) In the general reports of Internal Evaluation, reference must be made to the internal quality management mechanisms established by the Cyprus University of Technology and to any improvements in those mechanisms introduced during the period following the submission of the previous General Internal Evaluation Report.

Composition of the Internal Quality Committee

The Internal Quality Committee consists of:

  • the Vice-Rector in charge of academic affairs,
  • one (1) member of the Teaching Research Staff from each School of the Cyprus University of Technology,
  • two (2) members of the Cyprus University of Technology, specializing in quality assurance,
  • two (2) representatives of the students of the Cyprus University of Technology, one undergraduate and one postgraduate student,
  • one (1) representative from the administrative staff of the Cyprus University of Technology.
