IT Technical Consultant
Job description
RiskMatrix Ltd are interested in recruiting a self-motivated IT Technical Consultant.
The main task of this candidate is to provide a high-level technical support to our customers and also contribute to the team efforts and to the department’s knowledge base.
Responsibilities
Technical support underlines the following key tasks:
1. Provide support and advice the client about the resources required to install our software.
2. Provide installation support and guidance: our software requires service configuration and installation for both Windows server (IIS Service) and Red Hat Server (PostgreSQL service).
3. Troubleshooting support aiming at identifying errors in the system and user invalid data input.
4. Data migration support and configuration that will be based on a predefined set of database sourcing scripts for both Oracle and MS SQL into our new system database, PostgreSQL.
5. Writing SQL based reports to meet the client’s requirements and expectations.
6. Organize webinars and remote sessions with clients to provide support.
Key requirements for the candidate
1. University Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
2. Experience working with Windows and Linux servers. Experience with Red Hat server will be considered as an advantage.
3. Proficient understanding of SQL and writing SQL queries to validate data.
4. Ability to monitor log files and troubleshoot based on stack traces before escalating.
5. Ability to set up and maintain local testing environments with minimal assistance.
6. Very good knowledge of Database Management and Database Maintenance. Knowledge and experience with PostgreSQL will be considered an advantage.
7. Basic programming skills and principals with C++/C#.
8. Fluent in English (oral and written).
9. At least 3 years relevant work experience.
The Company
RiskMatrix Ltd are the regional partner of Moody’s Analytics covering the Middle East countries, Egypt, Greece, Cyprus and CIS countries. Their key responsibilities include the promotion, system implementation and configuration, and technical/business support for the Moody’s Analytics credit risk management software solutions. These cover in particular the internal corporate/commercial credit risk assessment, loan origination/credit workflow, portfolio management and stress testing solutions.
The position is based in Larnaca, Cyprus, and will involve some travelling within the countries in the region that we cover.
