MetLife wishes to recruit an IT Infrastructure Administrator (Shared Resource BG/CY – Cyprus Based)

Position Summary: IT infrastructure administrator is responsible for operation, maintenance, availability, security and support of the delegated IT infrastructure systems as well as coordination of IT infrastructure activities in Bulgaria and Cyprus.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Communicates with regional leads in order to support regional activities (initiatives) within particular country and participation on regional projects;
  • Supports users in all areas of hardware and software;
  • Installs and administers personal computers, servers, printers, network devices and all IT Infrastructure managed devices and systems;
  • Installs, administers and ensures the maintenance of peripheral;
  • Installs and administers servers;
  • Monitor hardware and software to prevent outages;
  • Keeps evidence of HW and SW;
  • Provides backup/restore;
  • Support the preparation of the country disaster recovery plan and data for BRP;
  • Creates, updates and revises documentation;
  • Fulfills other tasks based on direct manager´s requests;

 

Requirements:

  • University degree in IT/Computer Science or other relevant field;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT Infrastructure role; Experience with user support and company corporate model is an advantage;
  • Very good knowledge of IT Infrastructure technologies, products, hardware and software platforms, network devices, telecommunications including follow-up issues such as data storage and backup;
  • Windows server operating system administration and MS SQL basic knowledge;
  • Excellent written and verbal knowledge of Greek and English language;
  • A systematic approach to address the challenges, support users and solve problems ie the ability to overcome unexpected obstacles;
  • Active type of worker who will seek opportunities to improve existing IT solutions, willing to further developed and with a high sense of responsibility;
  • Very good communication, interpersonal and teamworking skills;
  • Resilient and positive personality, promptly addressing multiple requests.
