Vessel Accountant
Location: Cyprus, Limassol
We are seeking an experienced accountant to join our company and take on a key role in managing our vessels. As a vessel accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting to clients and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, and financial statements, to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information.
• Manage cash flow, including forecasting, monitoring, and ensuring sufficient funds are available to meet financial obligations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including preparation and filing of tax returns, and keeping up to date with changes in tax laws.
• Collaborate with the CFO and other teams across the organization to develop and maintain the annual budget and forecasting process, ensuring that financial targets are met.
• Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making, including the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and other financial reports.
• Assist with the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement new procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 3 years of relevant experience in financial management and analysis
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
