Junior Accountant

On behalf of our client, a leading company in the insurance market, we are looking for a Junior Accountant to be based at their offices in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the recording of accounting records that cover the entire range of operations of a life insurance company.
• Prepares the monthly account analysis and reconciliations.
• Prepares the tax computations, tax analysis, and returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements.
• Acts as a point of contact for auditors and advisors.
• Participates in projects aiming to enhance the control environment of the company, leading to full automation of processes and compliance with newly implemented standards and legislation.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics and Mathematics or another related field.
• Secondary Education certificate with a grade of 17/20 or an equivalent grade of a private school certificate.
• LCCI certificate.
• Very good knowledge of MS Office and computer use.
• Very good knowledge of Greek and English (oral and written).
• Good time management skills to meet deadlines.
