Safe Bulkers Management Ltd a well established shipping company based in Limassol, managing a fleet of modern bulk carriers, is looking for a Purchasing Officer that must be hard working, collaborative and result oriented.
Requirements :
a) One year experience in relevant position in shipping company is preferred
b) University degree in Shipping or Economics or Supply Chain Management
c) Diplomas be awarded with distinction will be highly considered
d) Knowledge of Danaos software (i.e. Supply module) is preferred
e) Excellent command of English and computer literacy
f) Hard working person with desire to learn
Duties :
1) Handling all inquiries of a fleet
2) Planning delivery time tables
3) Collecting supplier's offers
4) Evaluating quotations
5) Monitoring stock levels
6) Overseeing the ordering and packaging process ready for dispatch
7) Notifying vessels with scheduled delivery of stores / spare parts
8) Cost controlling
