IT Administrator

On behalf of our Client, an independent social enterprise that provides analysis, local insight, and research to support international development projects and programs, we are looking for an IT Administrator to be based at their offices in Limassol, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the Google Workspace by managing Google Apps including Gmail accounts, Google Drive, Google Sheets and Docs templates.
  • Performs backup for Google Drive content by suggesting and implementing plugins to enhance collaboration and performance of Google Apps, monitoring for security issues, such as spam and phishing attempts and providing desk support for all Company’s users.
  • Manages subscriptions and licenses in coordination with the Operations and Finance focal points, by managing user subscriptions/licenses for software and platforms such as Adobe Suite, ArcGIS, Microsoft, Slack, and other applications as needed and in accordance with the Company’s technical requirements and budgets.
  • Works with Senior Staff to identify software-based needs and solutions, communicates and solves issues with technical support as needed, and obtains and registers software while tracking payments and subscriptions.
  • Maintains and ensures cybersecurity for the Company’s online presence.
  • Monitors the Company’s security threats, forces access security solutions across the different teams globally, reports on potential security challenges and threats related to various internal and external communications platforms, and develops digital contingency plans in collaboration with the Operations Director and specialized consultants as required.
  • Identifies digital requirements in coordination with technical teams, advises on specifications and technical support, and coordinates with Operations and Finance teams to ensure hard and software requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Prepares reports for the Company’s Stakeholders, including monthly reports on user access to the website and online products, monthly reports on Mailchimp reach and Monthly reports on Google Analytics.
  • Prepares reports based on the maintenance of databases for the Company’s users as well as user engagement with periodicals, reports, and other publications.
  • Acts as the main point for external technical contractors.
  • Identifies gaps and leads to the recruitment of external consultants to bridge gaps aligned with available financial resources and the Company’s needs.
  • Liaises between external contractors and the Company’s Finance and Operations Teams for contracting, invoicing, and payment.
  • Ensures that requirements, objectives, and expectations are clearly communicated to external contractors by ensuring deliverables and work plans of external contractors remain on track, and meet agreed deadlines with high quality and aligned with the Company’s needs while minimizing feedback loops.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science/Engineering, Data Visualization/Analysis, Geographic Information Science, or related field.
  • At least two years of working experience in data management, graphic design, software/computer engineering, website design/management, or related field preferably within the humanitarian or development sector.
  • Demonstrated experience with Adobe Suite, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with ArcGIS is an advantage.
  • Experience in WordPress management, demonstrated with cybersecurity threats and solutions and Google Analytics reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify digital needs and offer solutions.
  • Experience in data cleaning, management, and aggregation.
  • Experience sorting, tagging, and labeling secondary data sources;
  • Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written  
  • Proven ability to work under pressure and be part of a team
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, with outstanding attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with and support an international, inter-disciplinary, multi-cultural team of professionals
