An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Associate Director, Applications System Development to join our Application Release Engineering Team based in Nicosia, Cyprus. The team is responsible for the continuous integration/deployment/testing of our PRIME software for both Processing, Cloud and Licensing models.

The successful candidate will lead the work streams through all aspects of the PRIME release cycle while working closely with both the Test Management, Application Development, Change Management and SRE teams to successfully deliver the next iteration of our product.

Accountable for the overall process, the successful candidate will be expected to run successfully and fine tune or improve existing processes based on feedback and data obtained from ongoing activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage the PRIME Release Engineering team, mentor, onboard new release engineers.
  • Ensure the continuous build, continuous release cycle for all PRIME instances is smooth.
  • Work cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables.
  • Generate reports, statistics, drive improvements plans.
  • Use industry best practices to drive initiatives to improve Build, Release and Continuous integration processes to improve quality.
  • Contribute in driving initiatives such as defining standards and processes to ensure quality.
  • Apply values, business strategy, policies, precedent, and experience to make complex decisions.

Essential requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years of professional experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of team management experience
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant subject such as Computer Science, MIS or Business Administration
  • Experience in CI/CD/CT tools
  • Experience with reports, data, statistics and formulation of presentable reports.
  • Ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity
  • Ability to guide and mentor team members to success
  • Flexibility to work unsociable hours in different time zones when required

Other Requirements:

  • Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
  • Excellent understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle – added advantage
  • Very good understanding of the software patching cycle in detail – added advantage
  • Meticulous attention to detail, great organizational skills
