Technical Designer - Office Furniture

Takis Charalambous Ltd is the leading manufacturer and supplier of office furniture in Cyprus and is looking to enhance its design and production capabilities by recruiting competent individuals.

Takis Charalambous Ltd is looking to hire a Technical Designer, based at our factory in Ergates Industrial Area, Nicosia, Cyprus.

Role: Technical Designer

 

Department: Technical Design

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create and prepare technical drawings and 3D models for production based on customer specifications.
  • Maintain and update the drawing library, ensuring all designs reflect the latest modifications and improvements.
  • Produce renderings and floor plans to support sales teams in presenting concepts to customers.
  • Assist in adapting and modifying existing designs to meet customization requests.
  • Ensure all drawings are aligned with production feasibility, optimizing for manufacturing efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the production team to clarify design specifications when needed.
  • Support the implementation of new design techniques and workflow improvements to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.
  • No prior experience required; candidates with internships, academic projects, or relevant coursework will be considered.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and CAD software (training will be provided if necessary).
  • Strong visualization and design-thinking skills to create functional and aesthetic designs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with production and sales teams.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in technical drawings.
  • Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple design tasks efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Greek and English (both written and spoken) is required.
