International collaboration constitutes a vital pillar of action for the University, both within the framework of the Common European Higher Education and Research Area as well as in the context of the globalisation of knowledge and sustainability. For CUT, internationalisation is one of the priorities of Strategic Development. Prioritised strategic choices towards this goal are:
- Attracting foreign students
- Strengthening international collaborations
- Participating in European LLP and International programmes
The University aspires to develop and to establish itself as a center of university education in the Mediterranean region and beyond, offering a rounded and multidimensional education, reflecting technological innovation and the progress of modern industry.
The International Cooperation Office works towards the fulfillment of internationalization goals in the form of:
- Bilateral Agreements with other Universities and
- Participation in International Organizations and Networks.
CUT is already a member of international and European organizations or networks such as UNIMED and HUMANE. Cyprus University of Technology maintains bilateral agreements with most European countries’ universities and additionally with Third Countries universities, mainly in the Mediterranean region.
CUT is also a member of EMUNI Senate, Bologna Convention Promoter and is currently working in promoting its international outlook by participating in European Programmes such as ERASMUS+ and is the national administrator of the IAESTE Cyprus programme. Regarding local collaboration, CUT has signed Memoranda of Understanding with more than 140 public bearers, organizations and private companies.
