Accommodation

Student Halls

The University does not yet have privately owned dormitories. However, we rend a number of buildings in the city center, very close to the buildings of the University, with different types of apartments. Moreover, there is a cooperation agreement between the University and the Apollonia Student Hall that includes the availability of rooms for the needs of CUT students.

Accommodation in the CUT Student Halls and Apollonia Student Hall is limited and priority is given to:

  • Undergraduate students with socio-economic problems
  • New comers undergraduate and postgraduate international students
  • Erasmus students

Erasmus students must submit their room application forms until the 15th of June for the Fall Semester and until the 15th of November for the Spring Semester of each academic year. International Students can submit an application as soon as they accept the possition offered and pay the tuition fees.

Applications from International and Erasmus students are evaluated on a first come first served basis. For more information on accommodation for Erasmus and other international students, you may consult the website of the Housing Office.

Network of Collaborating Appartments

The “network” is an initiative of the CUT. The oweners of private appartments have accepted to cooperate with the University (based on a memorandum of understanding) for the disposal of their apartments to students. All “network” appartments are fully equipped, have been assessed by the University and meet specific criteria, ensuring a basic quality in accommodation and a specified rental rate.

Students who opt to rent apartments of the “network" must be consistent with the terms of the contract signed with the owners. The rental contract is directly between owners and the students and is regulated by Rules (here).

Those interested for the “network”, can communicate with the owners of the premises and settle an appointment to visit the appartment. If the appartment meets the needs of the student, the student contacts the Housing Office and at the latest within two working days will be settled a joint meeting with the owner for the signature of the contracts.

Private Accommodation

Each academic semester, the Housing Office prepares a list of private houses and flats available for rent, in order to help Erasmus and other international students in their search for private accommodation. The List, which is updated on a weekly basis, is published on the website of the Housing Office.

The rent for a one bedroom flat is approximately €400-€500 per month, for a two bedroom flat €600-€800 per month, and for a three bedroom flat €800-€1000 per month.

At present, the Housing Office does not inspect the houses and apartments advertised in the List, regarding issues such as rent requested, quality of accommodation advertised etc.; therefore, students are advised to be very careful in their search for private accommodation.

Temporary Accommodation

In case you need temporary accommodation upon arrival, the Housing Office may assist you in finding hotel accommodation near the University.
