Religious groups and others

In this category, the candidates entitled to apply for admission at the University on the basis of international examinations results (GCE's or International & European Baccalaureate or other equivalents as defined in Appendix 7) are Cypriots who belong to religious groups, repatriated Cypriots, and children of officers of the Cyprus Foreign Service.

  • Candidates belonging to the religious groups, must be graduates of a secondary education school and submit a certificate proving they belong to one of the religious groups.
  • Candidates belonging to the categories listed in 1.6.1 can also apply for a position based on the examinations for Higher Education Institutions organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Cyprus. It is understood that in this case the candidates are not enrolled under the “excessive” category. It is also understood that candidates cannot participate simultaneously in both procedures in one year.
  • Candidates belonging to the Turkish Cypriot community, provided that they are graduates of a six-year secondary school, can be admitted after being awarded the school-leaving certificate or after getting successfully through special written or oral examinations organized by the relevant Department.
