Hellenic Bank Public Company Limited, one of the leading Financial Institutions in Cyprus, is seeking to recruit Software Engineers for the Digital Banking Engineering Department of Technology & Digital Division.
We’re re-inventing our approach to digital banking to breed innovation and quickly take features from the drawing board to our customers who need them the most.
We’re looking for highly motivated engineers to join our new development team with a passion for building & deploying robust, scalable & extendible software. The team will be working in an agile fashion on a variety of projects poised to bolster our online offering while maintaining a strong focus on automated testing and continuous delivery.
The team works on a variety of modern technologies including Angular, Java Sprint Boot microservices, Kubernetes, Azure Cloud, Android (Kotlin) & iOS (Swift). As a software engineer you will gradually build up your skills in a particular area and contribute to the commercial delivery of new features to customers across our Web or Mobile Banking offerings while transitioning into a chosen career path including backend/web/mobile development or DevOps Engineering.
New graduates will be entering a highly collaborative environment with full support, guidance and mentorship from the team to extend their existing skills and kickstart their career with the right foundations.
Main Responsibilities
• Collaborates in an agile team to build clean, maintainable and scalable code
• Actively participates in daily scrum stand-ups and other ceremonies
• Participates in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Optimises the application for maximum speed and scalability
• Follows security and data protection best practices
• Gathers and addresses technical and design requirements
• Stays up to date with emerging technologies
Candidate Profile
• Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
• Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
• A passion for coding
• Attentive to detail, methodical, diligent
