Junior Accountant

On behalf of our Client, one of Cyprus’ largest importers and distributors of motorcycle parts, we are looking for a Junior Accountant to be based at their offices in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists with daily checks of cash registers
• Assists in the reconciliation of general ledger accounts (vendors, banks, etc.)
• Helps with online payments to suppliers
• Contributes to payroll management
• Assists in the management of Social Insurance, GESY, Defence, Income Tax, and other related items
• Entries recording in accounting journals within the accounting system under supervision
• Assists with the maintenance of books and accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions
• Supports in the review of accounting documents to ensure accuracy
• Participates in month-end accounting activities under guidance

Main Requirements:

• A University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field or pursuing one, and/or Holder of LCCI Intermediate certification
• Up to 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting positions
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
• Knowledge of SAP will be considered an advantage 
• Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and communication (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to meet deadlines and livery high-quality services
