Senior Compliance Consultant

The Role:

We are seeking to recruit a passionate and self-motivated professional for the position of Senior Compliance Consultant, to be based in our offices in Nicosia or Limassol.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Providing assistance and support to clients, on the applicability and implementation of compliance/ regulatory regimes applicable to entities operating in the financial services sector (e.g., Investment Firms, AIFMs and UCITs MANCOs, PIs and EMIs, regulated in Cyprus, within EU or by Competent Authorities in Third Countries).
•More specifically assisting and supporting clients on:
oAnti- money Laundering and Financial Crime compliance queries;
oMaintaining and updating the internal policies in line with regulatory requirements;
oMonitoring and assessment of the correct and effective implementation of compliance policies;
oAdvising clients on ad-hoc regulatory requirements or regular/ ad hoc reporting obligations;
oPreparing and/or reviewing of Compliance and AML Compliance reports, Compliance and AML Compliance Plans, and monitoring programs.
•Reviewing, guiding and delegating to subordinates in relation to projects and various regulatory matters.
•Providing interdepartmental support and guidance on various regulatory and compliance matters.
•Staying up to date with relevant regulatory requirements, evolving Compliance, AML Compliance, Regtech best practises in the financial services sector.
•Preparing training materials, regulatory memos and/ or newsletters on behalf of Fincap Advisers and Fincap Advisers Training Academy.
•Handling a diverse range of compliance relating tasks.

Qualifications and Requirements:
•Finance, Law or Business/ Economics related degree.
•Minimum 2 year of relevant experience (i.e., Compliance/ AML Compliance/ Legal Compliance/ Internal Audit in the financial services sector).
•CySEC Advanced Certificate and/or CySEC AML Certificate will be considered as a strong advantage.
•Other Professional Qualifications (either as a member or as a trainee), such as CIA, ACCA, CFE, CISI, will be considered as an advantage.
•Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
•Excellent knowledge of English Language is a must.
•Experienced in working under pressure, shifting priorities as tasks come in.
•Organised, focused and diligent, in executing the tasks assigned.
•Willingness to learn and evolve in a fast-paced environment.
•Communication skills, both written and verbal.
•Professionalism, work ethic, self-motivated and team player.
