Senior Internal Auditor

The Role:

We are seeking to recruit a passionate and self-motivated professional for the position of Senior Internal Auditor, to be based in our offices in Nicosia or Limassol.

Duties and Responsibilities:
•Assessing the level of compliance and internal controls in place, in accordance to the Regulatory Regimes applicable to Investment Firms, Funds and Fund Managers, Payment and Electronic Money Institutions both in Cyprus and foreign Jurisdictions;
•Performing assessments on Clients’ information/manuals/processes and drafting of internal audit plans prior to internal audit inspections/visits;
•Conducting internal audit visits/desk-based reviews to meet the requirements of the internal audit engagement and in accordance with the internal audit plan;
•Reviewing clients’ internal procedures and systems to identify weaknesses and opportunities for improvement;
•Preparing audit programs and internal audit testings to be used in our internal audit work;
•Preparing reports/deliverables subject to the Supervisor’s, Manager’s/ Senior Management’s review, and being able to support the content of the report;
•Staying up to date with relevant regulatory requirements, contributing on the evolvement of best practises in internal controls;
•Advising clients on Internal Audit related areas and regulatory matters;
•Any other internal audit related needs;
•Attending meetings with Company’s Supervisor, Manager/ Senior Management;
•Assisting on the review of Departmental Invoice settlements;
•Supporting the manager with Debtor monitoring;
•Preparing training material.

Qualifications and Requirements:
•Finance, Law or Business-related degrees;
•2 -5 year of relevant experience (Internal Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, Audit, Accounting);
•Minimum 1 experience in the financial services sector;
•CySEC Advanced Certificate and/or CySEC AML Certificate will be considered an advantage;
•Other Professional Qualifications (either as a member or as a trainee), such as CIA, ACCA, CFE, CISI, will be considered as an advantage.
•Fluency in both Greek and English languages, written and oral;
•Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools;
•Organised, focused and diligent, in executing the tasks assigned by the Team Leaders;
•Willingness to learn and evolve in a fast paced environment.
•Communication skills, both written and verbal.
•Professionalism, work ethic, self-motivated and team player;
•Positive can-do attitude, highly committed personality.
