Purchasing Administrator

Due to strong continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Administrator to join the MCTC team and play an important role in the company's expansion plan.

As a Purchasing Administrator, you‘ll be responsible for:

  • Communicating with suppliers and clients.
  • Informing the Fleet Supervisor of any non-conformity observed and proposing relevant corrective and preventive actions.
  • Informing the Fleet Supervisor about complaints and discrepancies between the vessel and suppliers, and effectively handling them.
  • Monitoring supply and delivery process documentation, overseeing the entire process, and verifying invoices from both suppliers and clients.
  • Monitoring the vessels’ performance to achieve department’s objectives and maintain budget requirements.
  • Handling the monthly closing inventory process and ensuring the vessels catering accounts are updated correctly.
  • Reporting to the Fleet Supervisor regarding catering administration progress and informing of any challenges.
  • Preparation of reports.
  • Keeping documentation for inquiries, purchase orders, and other related documents, and ensuring the security and confidentiality of all documents.
  • Carrying out all administrative duties in accordance with the IMS and staying aware of any implemented changes.
  • Collaborating with other personnel to ensure the smooth operation of the company while maintaining the overall high quality of services and following
  • predetermined communication and reporting lines.
  • Ensuring that all administrative duties are carried out to the standards required by the company.
  • Performing any other ad-hoc duties as required by the Fleet Supervisor or COO.

Our Expectations:

  • College or university graduate in Shipping, Maritime Studies, Culinary Arts, Food Technology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Business Administration, Economics and Finance, or another relevant field.
  • Computer literacy; excellent knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal).
  • Good time-management and task organization skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Passion for the shipping industry.
  • Willingness to develop and grow within the company.
  • Previous work experience in a similar position will be seen as an advantage.
