The Department aims to provide high quality education, as well as to promote research and related applications in Rehabilitation Sciences. The Department's vision is to become a centre of excellence in the areas of teaching, research and clinical therapy both in Cyprus and in the wider Middle East.

The Department started operating with an undergraduate programme in Speech Therapy / Speech Pathology for 30 admitted students. Undergraduate programmes in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Clinical Social Work will be offered in the near future.

The Department's curricula shall consist the Cyprus’s standard curricula for these specialties, as they are the first to be offered at a public university in the country. In addition, the Department will give a major boost to research activity in the field of Rehabilitation Sciences in Cyprus by promoting knowledge and clinical services.

Prospects of Employment: Graduates of the programme will be able to practice the full range of Speech Therapy / Speech Pathology in public and private hospitals, rehabilitation centres, school units, as well as pursue a freelance profession and develop activities in the areas of research, education and administration in health services.
