CUT research and academic staff is involved in various Research Activities and National and European Research Programmes. In details, CUT research and academic staff is involved in 248 Projects with a total funding / contribution over than 35m Euro (excluding funding coming from Consultancy Services and Private funding) , as follows:

• 100 approximately National Research Projects funded by the Cyprus RPF with a total funding over than 8m Euro,
• 27 approximately European Research Projects funded under the FP7 with a total EC contribution 5.5m Euro,
• 36 European Territorial Cooperation Programmes such as Interreg Cross Border Cooperation Greece – Cyprus, Balkan-MED, Interreg IIIB, Archimed, Interreg IVC, , MED with a total contribution 6.5m Euro,
• 21 ERASMUS+ and Lifelong Learning Programmes such as Leonardo da Vinci / Transfer of Innovation, Multilateral Networks etc with a total funding 0.5m Euro, and
• 37 Projects under other Programmes such as EUROSTARS, EHAC, LIFE+, IEE, COST, ECHO, EHAC etc with a total contribution 6.2m Euro
• 27 European Research Projects funded under the HORIZON2020 with a total EC contribution 8.3m Euro

Some of the greatest successes that have been achieved under the HORIZON2020 are the award of an ERC Consolidator grant with the acronym SOL-PRO and the participation in the Consortium of a TEAMING Project (Phase 2) with the acronym RISE. In addition, it has recently achieved funding of two TEAMING Projects (Phase 1) as the Host Institution.
