RESEARCH FELLOW POSITION

(Postgraduate Associate / Assistant Researcher A or Post-doctoral Researcher)

Applications are invited from candidates who possess the necessary qualifications in order to fill one (1) Part-time Research Fellow position (Postgraduate Associate / Assistant Researcher A or Postdoctoral Researcher) in the field of Teachers’ Digital Literacy  with the Department of Communication and Internet Studies, at the Cyprus University of Technology.

Responsibilities

The successful applicant(s) will help implement a research programme on teachers’ digital literacy with the Media, Cognition and Learning Research Group (http://mcl.cut.ac.cy). In addition, they will perform project management work, and other administrative duties, related to the projects they are assigned to. 

Qualifications

The applicants should have:

• At a minimum, a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Educational Technology, Psychology or the Learning Sciences.
• Strong background in research methods.
• Excellent knowledge of quantitative and qualitative data analysis software.
• Very good language and communication / implementation skills.
• Demonstrated good knowledge of the Greek and English languages (spoken and written)

The following will be considered as an advantage:

1. Prior experience in research in a related field.
2. Prior participation in funded national or European research programmes.
3. Publications in peer-reviewed journals or conferences (as main authors or co-authors of journal articles published in peer-reviewed journals)

Applicants with a Ph.D. degree are also encouraged to apply. Knowledge of the Greek language is desirable but not required. Residency in Cyprus is required.

Τhe appointment will be for a period of six (6) months with the prospect of renewal. The monthly gross salary for the position will be between €1200 and €1566,57 according to qualifications. It is noted that there is provision for 13th salary (the cost of the 13th salary has been proportionally incorporated in the monthly remuneration as analyzed above).

Το Τεχνολογικό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου δέχεται αιτήσεις για την πλήρωση μίας (1) θέσης Ειδικού Εκπαιδευτικού Προσωπικού (ΕΕΠ) με σύμβαση στο Τμήμα Επιστημών Αποκατάστασης της Σχολής Επιστημών Υγείας στην ειδικότητα «Λογοπαθολογία-Λογοθεραπεία»

Οι υποψήφιες/οι πρέπει να κατέχουν:

1. Πανεπιστημιακό τίτλο και Μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο, τουλάχιστον επιπέδου Μάστερ με διετή φοίτηση, από αναγνωρισμένο Πανεπιστήμιο σε θέμα με το ως άνω γνωστικό αντικείμενο.
2. Εγγραφή ή δικαίωμα εγγραφής στο Μητρώο Εγγεγραμμένων Λογοπαθολόγων σύμφωνα με τον περί Εγγραφής Λογοπαθολόγων Νόμο (Ν.136(Ι)/2001).
3. Πέντε ή περισσότερα χρόνια εμπειρίας ως Κλινική/ος Λογοπαθολόγος και εμπειρία στη διάγνωση και θεραπεία στο γνωστικό πεδίο των αναπτυξιακών/παιδιατρικών/προσχολικής και σχολικής ηλικίας παιδιών με διαταραχές επικοινωνίας ή/και κατάποσης.
4. Ικανότητα χρήσης της Ελληνικής Γλώσσας ως μητρική. Πολύ καλή γνώση  Αγγλικής γλώσσας.
5. Αποδεδειγμένη κλινική εμπειρία στο ως άνω γνωστικό αντικείμενο.

Τα ακόλουθα θα θεωρηθούν ως πρόσθετα προσόντα:

• Ερευνητική εμπειρία
• Κλινική εμπειρία εποπτείας φοιτητών
• Πιστοποιητικό παρακολούθησης σεμιναρίου σε θέματα εποπτείας ή ανάλογο πιστοποιητικό επάρκειας κλινικής ικανότητας.
• Διδακτορικός τίτλος σπουδών στο ως άνω ή συναφές γνωστικό αντικείμενο.

Η εγκεκριμένη Μισθοδοτική Κλίμακα για το Ειδικό Εκπαιδευτικό Προσωπικό είναι η Α8-Α10-Α11. Η πλήρωση της θέσης αυτής θα είναι με σύμβαση. Η/Ο υποψήφια/ος που θα επιλεγεί μπορεί να τοποθετηθεί σε οποιαδήποτε βαθμίδα της πιο πάνω κλίμακας ανάλογα με τα προσόντα και την πείρα της/του.

Η πλήρωση της θέσης αυτής θα είναι με σύμβαση ενός (1) έτους, η οποία δύναται να ανανεωθεί στη λήξη της.

Επιπλέον,

(α) Σύμφωνα με τον «Περί Εργοδοτούμενων με Εργασία Ορισμένου Χρόνου (Απαγόρευση  Δυσμενούς Μεταχείρισης) Νόμο του 2003», με τη συμπλήρωση σύμβασης εργασίας συνολικής περιόδου τριάντα (30) μηνών η σύμβαση μετατρέπεται αυτόματα σε σύμβαση αορίστου διάρκειας, και

(β) τα μέλη ΕΕΠ που κατέχουν μεταπτυχιακό τίτλο ή ισότιμο επαγγελματικό τίτλο και τουλάχιστον οκτώ (8) χρόνια ευδόκιμης υπηρεσίας στο Τεχνολογικό Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου στη θέση Ειδικού Εκπαιδευτικού Προσωπικού (ΕΕΠ), κρίνονται υποχρεωτικά για μονιμοποίηση.

Οι υποψήφιες/οι δεν είναι απαραίτητο να είναι πολίτες της Κυπριακής Δημοκρατίας.

Καθήκοντα / Ευθύνες:

• Συμμετοχή στην προετοιμασία και στη διδασκαλία (θεωρητικών και εργαστηριακών) μαθημάτων του γνωστικού αντικειμένου.
• Υποστήριξη και συμμετοχή στην επίβλεψη κλινικής άσκησης των φοιτητών σε αντίστοιχα μαθήματα.
• Παροχή κλινικής εποπτείας σε φοιτητές σε ποικιλία πλαισίων.

Στην επιστολή θα πρέπει να αναγράφεται επίσης η ημερομηνία κατά την οποία μπορούν να αναλάβουν καθήκοντα σε περίπτωση εκλογής καθώς και τα στοιχεία επικοινωνίας.
2. Βιογραφικό σημείωμα (στα Αγγλικά ή/και στα Ελληνικά)

4. Αποδεικτικά στοιχεία των προσόντων τους

Οι υποψήφιες/οι για αυτή τη θέση θα πρέπει να κατέχουν:

1. Πτυχίο από Αναγνωρισμένο Πανεπιστήμιο στα σχετικά γνωστικά αντικείμενα (Φυσικής, Θετικών Επιστημών, Περιβαλλοντικές Επιστήμες, Μετεωρολογία ή και συναφή),
2. Μεταπτυχιακό από Αναγνωρισμένο Πανεπιστήμιο στα σχετικά γνωστικά αντικείμενα (Φυσική της Ατμόσφαιρας, Τηλεπισκόπηση, Φυσική Περιβαλλάλλοντος, Μετεωρολογία ή και συναφή),
3. Ικανότητα προγραμματισμού για την ανάλυση επιστημονικών δεδομένων,
4. Προθυμία συμμετοχής σε επιστημονικά πειράματα και μετρήσεις πεδίου,
5. Προθυμία συμμετοχής και παρακολούθησης επιστημονικών εκπαιδεύσεων και σεμιναρίων στην Κύπρο και στο εξωτερικό,
6. Eμπειρία στις τεχνικές ατμοσφαιρικής τηλεπισκόπησης θα θεωρηθεί επιπρόσθετο προσόν,
7. Διδακτορικό σε σχετικό γνωστικό αντικείμενο θα αποτελεί επιπρόσθετο προσόν,
8. Διεκπεραίωση ερευνητικών προγραμμάτων από εθνικά ή/και ευρωπαϊκά κονδύλια θα αποτελεί επιπρόσθετο προσόν,
9. Οργανωτικές ικανότητες,
10. Πολύ καλή γνώση της Αγγλικής Γλώσσας.

Οι μηνιαίες ακαθάριστες απόλαβες της/του υποψήφιας/ίου θα ανέρχονται από €2122,72 μέχρι €2533,94 αναλόγως προσόντων και καθεστώς απασχόλησης. Από το ποσό αυτό αποκόπτονται εισφορές εργοδότη και εργοδοτούμενου στα διάφορα ταμεία του κράτους. Οι μηνιαίες ακαθάριστες απόλαβες του υποψηφίου (μετά την αποκοπή εισφορών εργοδότη στα διάφορα ταμεία του κράτους), σύμφωνα με τα σημερινά δεδομένα και την ισχύουσα νομοθεσία, ανέρχονται από €1847,45 μέχρι €2205,34. Η εργοδότηση θα είναι για περίοδο 12 μηνών από 1/11/2022 μέχρι 31/10/2023. Σημειώνεται ότι, παρέχεται 13° μισθός, ο οποίος έχει ενσωματωθεί κατ’ αναλογία στη μηνιαία αντιμισθία.

Η ερευνητική δραστηριότητα θα περιλαμβάνει:

• Ανάλυση επίγειων δεδομένων ατμοσφαιρικής τηλεπισκόπησης
• Ανάλυση ατμοσφαιρικών παραμέτρων δορυφορικών αποστολών
• Σύνθεση και σύγκριση διαφόρων βάσεων δεδομένων (Δορυφορικών, επίγειων, τηλεπισκόπησης, πεδίου κ.α)
• Ανάπτυξη και εφαρμογή εργαλείων επεξεργασίας σε επίγεια δεδομένα ατμοσφαιρικής τηλεπισκόπησης
• Εφαρμογή ποιοτικών προτύπων και εργαλείων ποιοτικού ελέγχου

Οι υποψήφιες/οι για αυτή την θέση θα πρέπει να κατέχουν:

1. Διδακτορικό από Αναγνωρισμένο Πανεπιστήμιο στα σχετικά γνωστικά αντικείμενα (Μικροβιολογία, Βιολογία, Μοριακή Βιολογία και συναφή)
2. Εμπειρία στη διεκπεραίωση έρευνας/ών σχετικών με το γνωστικό αντικείμενο (όπως μοριακές τεχνικές, μικροβιολογία, στατιστική ανάλυση) και καλή γνώση Βιοπληροφορικής θα θεωρηθούν προσόν.
3. Διεκπεραίωση ερευνητικών προγραμμάτων από εθνικά ή/και ευρωπαϊκά κονδύλια, θα αποτελεί επιπρόσθετο προσόν.

Το μηνιαίο κόστος εργοδότησης (προϋπολογισμός έργου) ανέρχεται σε €2204.03. Από το ποσό αυτό αποκόπτονται εισφορές εργοδότη και εργοδοτούμενου στα διάφορα ταμεία του κράτους. Οι μηνιαίες ακαθάριστες απόλαβες του υποψηφίου (μετά την αποκοπή εισφορών εργοδότη στα διάφορα ταμεία του κράτους), σύμφωνα με τα σημερινά δεδομένα και την ισχύουσα νομοθεσία, ανέρχονται στα €1918,21. Θα παρέχεται 13° μισθός ο οποίος έχει ενσωματωθεί κατ’ αναλογία στη μηνιαία αντιμισθία. Η εργοδότηση θα είναι για περίοδο από 3.10.22 μέχρι 31.5.23.

Early Stage Researchers (ESR fellows)

Applications are invited from candidates who possess the necessary qualifications in order to fill five    (5) PhD fellows /ESR places at the newly established UNESCO and European Research Area Chairs on Digital Cultural Heritage within the Digital Heritage Research Laboratory (DHRLab) of the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) in the research field of Digital Heritage and Cultural Informatics.

The selected scientists will work for a period of fifteen and a half (15,5) months within the EU H2020 ERA Chair ‘Mnemosyne Project’, a unique EU-funded programme, beginning from the 15th of September 2022.

They will help design, refine and deliver a structured and coherent three-phase research programme under the supervision of the ERA and UNESCO Chair holders, in order to achieve its objectives in the Holistic Documentation life cycle for digital heritage and to establish a programme of structural change and support at CUT which enables the outcomes of the research programme. Each of the five PhD fellows/students will work in a small team focusing primarily on the definition and resolution of set of key challenges in the digital documentation life-cycle concerning, for example, aspects of:

• Data Acquisition
• Data Processing
• Modelling
• Knowledge Management
• Preservation and
• Use and reuse

Position:

The ERA Chair researchers will be recruited by the host organization of the Cyprus University of Technology in Limassol, Cyprus under a full employment contract with the possibility of extension (earliest day for the start of contract: 15th of September 2022). The researchers will work closely together with the Director of Digital Heritage Research Lab at CUT and the teams of the UNESCO and ERA Chair on Digital Cultural Heritage and be responsible for the planned Research /Innovation topics and areas.

The Applicant should:

1. Have completed at least a four or five-year education cycle (e.g. Diploma in Engineering, Master’s Degree etc) from a recognized university in Geomatics, Computer- / Electrical Engineering Computer Science, Surveying Engineering and/or Social sciences / Humanities with less than four (4) years of continuous full-time research experience in the below listed fields, with excellent programming skills and very good language and communication / implementation skills

2. Possess excellent knowledge of the English language at a proficiency level (spoken and written)

An outline of the research topics under consideration includes:

A. Holistic structures and Standardisation

• definition and creation of holistic documentation ‘pipelines’ for specific user communities;
• creation of standards for 3D documentation and knowledge management.

B. DCH Data Acquisition

• advanced digitisation and approaches such as mass, crowdsourced and on-demand digitisation;
• methods for crowdsourcing content and allowing user-generated content for DCH in the cloud on cloud-computing for DCH, e.g. by leveraging popular photography;
• the use of UAVs and related technologies in capturing documentation;
• automated metadata extraction and crowd;
• realizing the potential of big data management and opportunities created by the vast volume, variety and velocity of mainly unstructured new data, generated every day most for finding and using previously inaccessible European digital content;

C. DCH Data Processing

• user-oriented metadata and ontology standards for the description and exchange of DCH data;
• metadata designs especially of language-based data close to human conceptual systems and gaining insights from data in natural language;
• innovative tools and methods to extract meaning from digital artefacts, including Video Recordings, Audio Recordings, Digital images, Text, Multi-Spectral and Thermal information
• 3D representations of objects or scenes;
• generation and presentation of localized DCH content and its documentation to enhance audience value (in services such as Europeana.eu) for example through efficient and innovative acquisition and deployment of Geospatial Data.

D. DCH Preservation

• documentation for the preservation of European Heritage;
• the virtual or actual reconstruction of Destroyed or degraded sites and Artefacts including the digital restoration of important monuments destroyed during conflict protecting against or remedying Looting and Destruction;
• virtual ‘reunification’ of CH assets which have been scattered to different parts of Europe and the world.

E. DCH Use and ReUse

• cost reduction and simplification of digital technologies;
• Personalisation and interactivity of viewing experiences in DCH, including the use of social media;
• new types of User Experiences (UX) with DCH that arise from the current ‘hardware and software revolution’ in the realms of VR/AR; interface selection (e.g. Augmented Reality, holograms) to allow seamless blending of on-site and on-line dimensions;
• visualisation techniques and their combination in different contexts, drawing on the state of the art in technology and standards e.g. for Interactive Video (IV); Immersive VR (IVR); Augmented Reality (AR); 3D Real-time Editors (Game-Engines), Ultra High and Giga-Pixel Panoramas; infinite zooming images; VR Wearables and Gesture Recognition Interfaces;
• inter-disciplinary collaborative research to establish paradigms in socio-economic areas of DCH impact e.g. Tourism, Education, Employment, Economic Growth;
• crowdsourcing, co-creation and Citizen-Science;
• using innovative Social-Platforms to exchange user experiences and support multidisciplinary approaches.

Benefits

The yearly gross salary of the ESRs is based upon qualifications and experience. From this amount employer and employee contributions to the Cyprus government funds will be deducted. A 13th monthly salary is incorporated into the monthly gross salary. In addition, health and social insurance will be funded by the project.

3. Ανανεωμένη άδεια ασκήσεως επαγγέλματος

4. Τουλάχιστον πέντε (5) χρόνια εμπειρίας ως Κλινική/ος Λογοπαθολόγος και εμπειρία στη διάγνωση        και θεραπεία στο γνωστικό πεδίο των αναπτυξιακών/παιδιατρικών/προσχολικής και σχολικής                ηλικίας παιδιών με διαταραχές επικοινωνίας ή/και κατάποσης.

5. Κλινική εμπειρία εποπτείας φοιτητριών/φοιτητών

6. Πολύ καλή γνώση της Ελληνικής και Αγγλικής γλώσσας.

Τα ακόλουθα θα θεωρηθούν ως πρόσθετα προσόντα:

1.  Πιστοποιητικό παρακολούθησης σεμιναρίου σε θέματα εποπτείας ή ανάλογο πιστοποιητικό                   επάρκειας κλινικής ικανότητας.

Καθήκοντα και ευθύνες:

1. Παροχή κλινικής εποπτείας σε φοιτήτριες/ές στην Πανεπιστημιακή Κλινική Αποκατάστασης

2. Παροχή συμβουλευτικής σε θέματα κλινικής εποπτείας των φοιτητριών/φοιτητών

3. Αξιολόγηση κλινικών ικανοτήτων των φοιτητριών/φοιτητών

4. Συμμετοχή στην προετοιμασία και στη διδασκαλία (θεωρητικών και πρακτικών) σεμιναρίων του            γνωστικού αντικειμένου.

Η απασχόληση των Βοηθών Κλινικών Εποπτριών/Επόπτων θα είναι μερική (16 ωρών/εβδομάδα - απογεύματα έκαστη/ος). Οι συνολικές ακαθάριστες απολαβές τους υπολογίζονται ως εξής:  €22,65/ώρα x αρ. ωρών απασχόλησης/εβδομάδα x αρ. εβδομάδων απασχόλησης.  Σημειώνεται ότι, δεν παρέχεται 13ος  μισθός, ούτε ιδιωτική ιατροφαρμακευτική περίθαλψη.

Οι ενδιαφερόμενες/οι πρέπει να υποβάλουν τα ακόλουθα:

1.Συνοδευτική επιστολή στην οποία να δηλώνουν το ενδιαφέρον τους.

2. Πλήρες βιογραφικό σημείωμα στα Ελληνικά ή/και Αγγλικά (περιλαμβανομένων διεύθυνσης                   επικοινωνίας και αριθμού τηλεφώνου)

3. Αποδεικτικά Στοιχεία των προσόντων τους

Τα πιο πάνω στοιχεία θα πρέπει να υποβληθούν, σε μορφή PDF (PORTABLE DOCUMENT FORMAT – Συνιστάται το ανέβασμα ενός (1) μόνο αρχείου το οποίο θα περιλαμβάνει όλα τα απαραίτητα συνοδευτικά έντυπα (εφόσον είναι εφικτό).

Συνοδευτικά στοιχεία που έχουν υποβληθεί στο παρελθόν δε λαμβάνονται υπόψη και πρέπει να υποβληθούν εκ νέου.

Οι αιτήσεις πρέπει να υποβληθούν ηλεκτρονικά στη διεύθυνση HRrecruits@cut.ac.cy με θέμα: «Αίτηση για θέσεις Βοηθών Κλινικών Εποπτριών/Επόπτων (για παιδιά) – Τμήμα Επιστημών Αποκατάστασης», όχι αργότερα από την Παρασκευή 10 Ιουνίου 2022, ώρα 11:59 μ.μ, η οποία θα είναι η τελευταία ημερομηνία υποβολής των αιτήσεων.

Σημειώνεται ότι:
