The First Annual Lecture of the Faculty of Geotechnical Sciences and Environmental Management of the Cyprus University of Technology took place on 12 December 2016. The Lecture was delivered by Mr. Paul Ekins, Professor of Resources and Environmental Policy at University College London, a prominent environmental economist and co-chair of UNEP's sixth Global Environment Outlook report. His speech focused on increasing resource efficiency in a resource-constrained world and on policies to enable significant improvement in resource productivity Mr. Louis Tsangarides, representing the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment Mr. Nicos Kouyialis, and the University Rector Professor Andreas Anayiotoes welcomed the speaker.
