Academic Staff Qualifications

Lecturer

For the Lecturer position, candidates are required to have a doctoral degree from a recognized university and must demonstrate that they are able to teach and conduct research at a university level: Regarding employees who work in public institutions with cognitive subjects which will be included in the University and they possess a doctoral degree from a recognized university or will acquire such a degree, according to the provisions of Article 44 of the current legislation, it is presumed that until the date of the commencement of the University operations, service in institutions currently under incorporation require academic experience in teaching/research according to the provisions of the current section.

Assistant Professor

For the position of Assistant Professor, the following are required:

  • To be qualified for the Lecturer position and have at least three years of self-reliant academic level teaching or research after the acquisition of a doctoral degree from a recognized university or research center and
  • Original publications in valid international scientific journals or other publications of recognized value that forebode important contribution to science.

Associate Professor

For the position of Associate Professor, the Assistant Professor’s qualifications are a prerequisite, and in addition:

  • At least seven years in total university or other equivalent work experience, after the acquirement of a doctoral degree, of which four years must be university work experience or work experience in a corresponding level of another recognized university.
  • Publication of articles in prestigious international scientific journals or monographs and books of recognized publishing houses that substantiate remarkable self-reliant research.
  • Ability to guide and promote research which includes supervising of postgraduate students, guidance or important contribution to research programs or securing funding for research activities.
  • Indication of international recognition of the candidate’s contribution in specific research fields such as research reports, invitations for scientific speeches, assignments of article evaluation, research proposals or doctoral theses, participation in scientific journal publication committees or participation in convention organizing and
  • Contribution in the promotion of the University’s educational and administrative work.

Professor

For the position of Professor, the Associate Professor qualifications are a prerequisite, and in addition:

  • At least eleven years in total university or other equivalent work experience, after the acquirement of a doctoral degree, of which four years must be university work experience or holding a position at the level of Professor in a recognized university
  • International recognition of the candidate’s scientific work
  • Important contribution to the University’s educational and administrative work
  • Supervision and successful completion of research programs or doctoral theses.
