Eligibility Criteria for the Academic Staff - pertaining to the subjects of the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts:

According to the amendment of the Cyprus University of Technology Law of 2008 (105(1)2008), as it has been published in the official Government gazette on the 5th of December 2008 (Issue no. 4184) for the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts, the following exception is applied concerning to the eligibility criteria for the appointment of the Academic Staff for the subjects of which their specialty is of exceptional and unquestionable particularity which could be consider as part of the Fine, Visual and Applied Arts.

For the post of Lecturer

• Bachelor's Degree and a Master's degree
• Portfolio that should include acclaimed and/or award-winning works
• professional achievements, including acclaimed and/or award-winning works
• at least five (5) years of teaching, after the award of the Master's degree, at an accredited institution of higher or highest education or research centre
• demonstrated ability for university-level teaching and research

For the post of Assistant Professor

• Bachelor's Degree and a Master's degree
• Portfolio that should include acclaimed and/or award-winning works
• professional achievements, including acclaimed and/or award-winning works
• at least seven (7) years of teaching, after the award of the Master's degree, at an accredited institution of higher or highest education or research centre, or currently holding an equivalent post at a recognized university
• demonstrated ability for university-level teaching and research

 
For the post of Associate Professor

• Bachelor's Degree and a Master's degree
• Portfolio that should include acclaimed and/or award-winning works
• professional achievements, including acclaimed and/or award-winning works
• at least eleven (11) years of teaching, after the award of the Master's degree, at an accredited institution of higher or highest education or research centre, or currently holding an equivalent post at a recognized university
• demonstrated ability for university-level teaching and research, including original publications in known international journals or other acclaimed publications
• demonstrated ability for undertaking and promoting research, including supervision of post-graduate students, important contribution to research programmes or procuring funding for research activities
• contribution to the teaching and administrative work of the university
• international acclaim of scientific/professional work

For the post of Professor

• Bachelor's Degree and a Master's degree
• Portfolio that should include acclaimed and/or award-winning works
• professional achievements, including acclaimed and/or award-winning works
• at least fifteen (15) years of teaching, after the award of the Master's degree, at an accredited institution of higher or highest education or research centre, or currently holding an equivalent post at a recognized university
• demonstrated ability for university-level teaching and research, including original publications in known international journals or other acclaimed publications
• demonstrated ability for undertaking and promoting research, including supervision of post-graduate students, important contribution to research programmes or procuring funding for research activities
• contribution to the teaching and administrative work of the university
• international acclaim of scientific/professional work
